NC Red Drum

NC red drum bite here in the Cape Fear Region is not an all day event but we are catching red drum on 99% of our inshore charters.Yesterday we were scheduled to leave at 1:00 PM but a thunder storm hit Carolina Beach,NC right about the time we were supposed to pull out.I suggest we just give it an hour to blow over,sure enough it passed on to the north.

Clear skies moved in after the much needed rain,turned out to be a beautiful afternoon to fish.Gary Scott and his wife both caught slot size red drum.Ride back on Cape Fear River was really nice late yesterday afternoon around 7:30 PM.I have an open date on Tuesday 28TH,Friday, July 1rst of this week give me a call at 910-619-0928 to set up your next inshore charter in the backwaters of the Cape Fear River.

Big red drum are being caught in the backwaters of the Cape Fear River,Guy Gruber caught this over the slot size red drum fishing with Capt.Mike Dennis on June10,2011. This large red drum hit an 8? live menhaden on a Carolina Rig,really hard fighting fish on light tackle.
