Red drum have begun to bite in the backwaters of the lower Cape Fear Fear river,flounders are hitting the live bait too ! Fishing has been slow this year but with the arrival of Memorial Day Weekend I expect the fishing is going to turn on.

NC Fall fishing is here, temperatures have been cooler at night since the big rain storm has passed,the red drum bite,has been consistent with some days being exceptional.

Speckle trout are beginning to bite small jigs,hopefully the larger fish will start to become more active with the water temperatures falling.
