CarolinaExplorer 5-29 fishing report:) Lots of red drum, spanish mackerel, blues, trout, and a few flounder. Call 910-264-1807 and book your fishing charter today!!

Hello everyone… We have been catching fish and having a great time on the water, each and every trip. Spring has finally sprung, the weather is warm and the fish are biting. Inshore we are catching red drum, black drum, a few trout and flounder. The reds we have been catching on gulp shrimp rigged weedless, strike king minnows on 3/8oz jigs and top water plugs. Just working the grass banks and oyster rocks is producing fish. We are also catching them on mud minnows and shrimp on float rigs or Carolina rigs. The trout have been biting fluke baits rigged on 1/4 to 3/8 jig heads. The flounder are hitting the bait while fishing for the reds and trout. Just off the beach the Spanish mackerel and blues have been biting like crazy. Trolling clarkspoons or casting Hopkins to breaking fish works the best. On the bottom plenty of sharks, a few grey trout, a few flounder, and plenty of sea bass. Sea bass opens June 1st, so they better watch out. Now is a great time to book your summer fishing trip. DO NOT WAIT, dates are filling up fast. Think ahead for July and August.  Check out the pics.
