Carolina Explorer fishing report for June/July 2015
Inshore we have been catching red drum, flounder, and speckled trout. Most of the action has been taking place in the calm waters of the Cape Fear river and the Marshes close to Carolina Beach. We have been using live mullet minnows, mud minnow, and lures to catch these fish. Lots of fun and great times on the water. We have been fishing everyday and catching enough fish to make everyone happy.
On our Coastal fishing charters that take place just off the beach, we have been catching flounder, spanish mackerel, Big Red Drum, and Sharks. We are trolling for the spanish mackerel and bottom fishing with live bait for the flounder, drum, and sharks. Again fun for any skill level of angler and creating great memories for the family.
