Carolina Beach and Wrightsville Beach Fishing Report – 6/12/12

Water temps are in the 80s and the fishing has been great in the Carolina Beach area down to Bald Head Island.  We have had some nice catches of flounder and speckled trout using live bait on a carolina rig.  Live bait is still everywhere and finger mullet should start showing up anytime.  We’ve been catching flounder all along the ICW and Carolina Beach Inlet.  The speckled trout bite is good along the Cape Fear River using artificial DOAs and live shrimp on a float rig works well.  Red drum are finally showing up along the docks in the ICW and Carolina Beach inlet with some nice sizes.

Right offshore the spanish mackerel are showing up in good numbers on the calmer days we’ve been able to sight cast to them, what a blast.

Shark fishing is just around the corner so if you want a fight they will be more than glad to give you one that you won’t forget.

So give me a call and let’s go fishing!
