Fishing Report by Charlie’s Charters 6-25-13

Hello everyone, sorry for the lack of reports, I’ve been busy with charters and tracking down the fish.  The summer started off with a bang and then bottomed out with the winds and extra high tides.  We are finally back on track (me and the fish) and the past few charters have had some great catches.

Inshore the Flounder and Red Fish are producing some good numbers for a change.  Using live baits most of the catches are from around the inlets and Cape Fear River with a few Speckled Trout.

Right off shore when the weather will cooperate the Spanish bite has been decent with a few Cobia being caught around the Wrightsville Beach Jetti.   Some of the nearby reefs are also producing over slot Reds in the 40 inch plus range along with Black Seabass, Sharks and Flounder.  Shark fishing is just around the corner so if you want a fight they will be more than glad to give you one.  I still have a few openings for the July 4th weekend so give me a call to get in on the action.  Grab the kids and let’s go fishing!
