Fishing Report Day #2 Deep Jigging 9-11-2010

Day #2 the winds switched to the east over night but not a bad ride out. The water was almost 85 degrees at the drop with a lot of current. Chris started the day with on the 1st drop with a small AJ. The guys worked very hard all morning and picked at the fish every drift. It wasn’t the fast action like yesterday. The fish were there but not eating with the east winds and water change. Still able to catch some decent fish. Missed another Wahoo while trolling inshore. Peter had a another 16 lb gag. He had the hot hand grouper fishing. We decided to try for some top water AJs at the inshore wreck and on the way found birds working a small weed line with Mahi. We bailed 5 Mahi on the spinning rods before they left. Ken put on a clinic on top water at the wreck. He had 10 to 15 AJs knocking the plug into the air trying to eat it. Peter took some great video which will be posted soon.
